Volunteering your time and energy to an organization is one of the easiest ways you can give back and make a difference. According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, 62.8 million people volunteered through or for an organization in the United States in 2014. However, many people are unsure about how they can make a difference in the world while still leading their busy lives. If you are one of these people, we have compiled a list of 25 easy ways you can get involved in your community and make a difference on a local level.

  1. Volunteer to help children learn to read at your local library.
